Michael van Gerwen produced a string of brilliant performances to win the German Darts Grand Prix in Mannheim last weekend.

The world number one averaged 111 in his final victory against Rob Cross, which he sealed with a 110 finish to win his fifth European Tour title of 2017.

The Dutch ace enjoyed two 6-0 wins on route too, whitewashing Richard North (round two) and Simon Whitlock (semi-finals).

Van Gerwen was dominant throughout the year’s tenth European Tour event, defeating Gerwyn Price 6-2 (last 16) and Jelle Klaasen 6-1 (quarter-finals) before sealing success with 6-3 triumph over Cross.
