James Wade produced a sensational fight-back to stay in the World Championship as he came back from three sets behind to defeat Andy Smith 4-3 on Monday evening.

Wade progressed after hitting brilliant finishes of 122 and 100 in a deciding set tie-break at Alexandra Palace after his opponent had missed two darts for the match.

Vincent van der Voort prodcued a quality performance but was defeated 4-1 by Adrian Lewis, who posted a 104 average against the Dutchman’s 99
