PDC UNICORN WORLD YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER 2012

Exciting young talent James Hubbard is a former PDC Unicorn World Youth Champion, after winning the title in front of 10,000 people at London’s O2 in May 2012.

The Norfolk ace produced an impressive display to beat Michael van Gerwen in the final, just a few months after turning professional.

Hubbard had already made an appearance in a major tournament when he took part in the 2011 Grand Slam of Darts.

The youngster’s impressive performances on the youth tour in 2011 and his run to the youth final earned him a place on the Pro-Tour.

In May 2012, he qualified for the UK Open as a top 32 seed after reaching the quarter-finals of a qualifier.

He followed up his World Championship triumph by winning the next youth tour title just days later.

Hubbard qualified for the World Championship in 2013 and earned his place in the UK Open for the second time in 2014.

In May 2014, the youngster returned to the winners circle when he won Youth Tour 8.
