Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld fired the Netherlands to victory in World Cup of Darts by defeating reigning champions England in the final on Sunday.

The Dutch pair cruised to a 3-0 success in the best of five final, which began with a stunning van Gerwen whitewash against Phil Taylor before ‘Barney’ repeated the feat against Adrian Lewis.

‘Mighty Mike’ then defeated Lewis 4-2, wrapping up the triumph without van Barneveld needing to take on Taylor.

Team Holland had produced some breath-taking darts throughout the final day, including an incredible 4-0 doubles win over Northern Ireland, in which they averaged a staggering 117.88.

Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson took Australia to the semi-finals, while Mark Webster‘s Wales and Robert Thornton‘s Scotland both reached the last eight.
