James Wade claimed victory in the Gibraltar Darts Trophy as he defeated Steve Beaton in Sunday’s final, ending a three-year wait for a title.

Victory for van der Voort

Vincent van der Voort produced a string of fine performances to take victory at the Austrian Darts Open in Salzburg, defeating Jamie Caven with a brilliant comeback in Sunday’s final.

van der Voort, whose glory charge began in Thursday’s qualifying event, fought back from being 5-2 behind in the decider to win 6-5 and claim the £20,000 winner’s cheque and his first PDC ranking title since 2011. (more…)

Whitlock Pips Wade To Title in Coventry

Simon Whitlock clinched his first PDC title of 2014 by winning Players Championship 12 in Coventry on Sunday.

Whitlock defeated James Wade 6-3 in the final, which included a 154 checkout from ‘The Wizard’, as he picked up the £10,000 winner’s check. (more…)

Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld fired the Netherlands to victory in World Cup of Darts by defeating reigning champions England in the final on Sunday.

The Dutch pair cruised to a 3-0 success in the best of five final, which began with a stunning van Gerwen whitewash against Phil Taylor before ‘Barney’ repeated the feat against Adrian Lewis. (more…)
