Mark Webster and John Henderson served up a treat for fans at the World Championship, with Webster edging a dramatic dual at Alexandra Palace on Sunday, while Simon Whitlock and Michael van Gerwen also progressed to the last 16.
Welshman Webster triumphed in a seven set thriller against Scotland’s Henderson, winning in a tense tie-break after his opponent had earlier missed three darts for the match.
Whitlock is yet to drop a set after securing a 4-0 whitewash victory against Finland’s Jarkko Komula, while number two seed van Gerwen hit 11 180s in a 4-1 success against Kevin McDine.
