Michael van Gerwen fought off a brilliant battle from Mark Webster to reach the semi-finals of the World Darts Championship with a 5-3 victory on Sunday evening.

The world number two hit eight finishes of over 100 in the victory, as he set up a semi-final showdown with Adrian Lewis, who ended James Wade’s campaign.
