The Junior Darts Corporation are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with leading professional management company MODUS Sports Management in a move that will result in various benefits for JDC members and participants.
The agreement will see MODUS to become the title sponsor of the JDC Tour with immediate effect, including sponsorships of all events within the tour.
The winners of the 2017 Grand Final and JDC Order of Merit will both receive management and sponsorship from MODUS to play on the 2018 PDC Development Tour.
The partnership will also ignite the emergence of the new JDC Allstars scheme, which will see the most successful JDC talents in different areas of the UK given the chance to compete against the likes of Michael van Gerwen and other top professional stars in MODUS’ popular exhibition events.
Jason Thame of MODUS Sports Management said: “All of us here at MODUS are extremely excited to be on board with the JDC. Steve Brown has done some excellent work to build something which gives young and aspiring darts players the best environment to improve their game and fulfil their darting dreams.
“After meeting with Steve and seeing his vision for taking an already fantastic organisation forward, we were only too happy to give our backing to the JDC. We believe we can offer some fantastic rewards and opportunities to young darts players and we look forward to some joining our growing association with future stars such as Keegan Brown, Callum Loose, Billy Holmes, Bradley Kirk and Fallon Sherrock.”
Steve Brown, Chairman of the JDC, added: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome MODUS as an official partner to the JDC. I’ve been around the professional game for nearly a decade and have always been impressed with the professionalism of MODUS and their players.
“As we continue to introduce hundreds of juniors to the game of darts it’s imperative that we offer sound advice and support to those wishing to progress in the game. The partnership with MODUS will help us offer sound advice for all members and open doors for those lucky enough to become a JDC Allstar.”
