SIMON WHITLOCK won a thriller against Mensur Suljovic to reach the final of the Unibet World Grand Prix.
The Australian ace led last month’s Champions League of Darts winner by three sets to one but Suljovic fought back to level up and force a deciding set.
Whitlock found another gear and took the seventh set 3-1 to move into the Saturday’s final, where he will meet Daryl Gurney.
Gurney ended John Henderson’s heroic run to the semi-finals, claiming a 4-1 success over the conqueror of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld.
