LUKE HUMPHRIES has made a strong start to his professional career after making the transition from Development Tour champion to dangerous ProTour player.
The 23-year-old, who picked up five titles to top last year’s Development Tour order of merit, has grasped his place on the senior circuit with both hands, enjoying some impressive results already.
Humphries, who also won a Challenge Tour event in 2017, completed the impressive feat of qualifying for each of the first four European Tour events.
His best run of the year so far included a 6-1 victory over Premier League player Gerwyn Price when he reached the last 16 at the German Darts Grand Prix.
Those who witnessed some of Humphries’ performances last year, however, will know that his best is yet to come and the World Youth Championship semi-finalist has huge potential to achieve great things in 2018 and beyond.
