JOHN HENDERSON enjoyed an incredible reception as he made his Premier League debut in Aberdeen on Thursday evening.

The Scotsman, from Huntly in Aberdeenshire, received a hero’s welcome from thousands of fans before going on to earn a draw with world number one Michael van Gerwen.

Henderson had been selected as one of nine ‘contenders’ following the withdrawal of Gary Anderson at the start of the campaign.
