KEEGAN BROWN has enjoyed a promising start to 2018, putting himself firmly in contention for appearances in the year’s big televised tournaments.
The former World Youth Champion enjoyed his best ever run at the World Championship in December as he reached the last 16, defeating James Wade and Zoran Lerchbacher before bowing out the legendary Phil Taylor at Alexandra Palace.
That run signalled a return to form for the Isle of Wight ace, who went on to qualify for the UK Open Finals and reach the last 32 after an impressive victory against Joe Cullen.
Brown went on fantastic runs to the last 16 of Players Championship 1 and the quarter-finals of Players Championship 4.
It has taken the eventual winner in each of the last three PDC ProTour events to stop his charge.
The 25-year-old is once again producing the kind of performances that saw him win the World Youth Championship and a PDC title.
He is currently in a very strong position to qualify for the World Matchplay for the second time.
Brown recently announced that he is considering changing his nickname from ‘The Needle’ and is asking for your suggestion via twitter.
I need Twitter’s help on Tuesday morning to help me come across a nickname for myself! The Any suggestions would be appreciative 👍😀 #newnickname #byebyeneedle
