SIMON WHITLOCK boosted his Unibet Premier League play-off hopes with a win against Gerwyn Price in Liverpool, while Michael Van Gerwen continued his winning run by beating Mensur Suljovic in Liverpool.

A 164 checkout was the highlight of Whitlock’s 7-3 success over Price, who was eliminated from the tournament ahead of the second phase.

Suljovic suffered the same fate as the Welshman by virtue of his 7-4 defeat to first-placed Van Gerwen.

Whitlock currently sits in the fourth and final play-off spot.
