FALLON SHERROCK won the BDO World Darts Trophy after a brilliant final performance against Lorraine Winstanley in Preston on Sunday.
Former World Championship runner-up and Finders Masters champion Sherrock averaged 94.22 as she defeated Winstanley 6-3 to win her second major title.
The decisive victory capped off a superb week for Sherrock after a string of fine performances, posting her highest ever televised average in her semi-final win over Roz Bulmer before going on to supersede it in the final.
She continued her excellent form to make it three consecutive titles after a double success in Belgium the previous weekend.
“I’m absolutely over the moon,” said the 23-year-old.
“I couldn’t believe I’d managed to top my average from the semi-final against Lorraine but I needed to do that to beat her.
“I’ve been putting a lot of work in on the practice board and my results recently are showing that it is working.
“I’m really proud of how I played in this tournament and am so happy to win.”
