MICHAEL VAN GERWEN made light work of Stephen Bunting as he stormed to a straight sets victory over the former Lakeside Champion to reach the quarter-finals of the William Hill World Darts Championship and London’s Alexandra Palace.

The Dutchman reeled off four consecutive sets to progress to the last eight where he will meet either Steve Beaton or Darius Labanauskas.
