MICHAEL VAN GERWEN won his 15th career European Tour title with a dominant display at the German Darts Masters over Easter weekend in Jena, Germany.

The world number one, who had lost out to Peter Wright in the final of the first European Tour event of the year, averaged over 100 in all five matches he played as he stormed to the title.

Meanwhile, resurgent Aussie ace Simon Whitlock enjoyed a run to the semi-finals, which was ended by van Gerwen.
