Darts star Arron Monk has been handed a boost ahead of his World Championship campaign after receiving the backing of Portsmouth based Estate Agent U Moove.
The former under-21 World Champion is plotting his move to the top of the sport and has welcomed the deal ahead of his World Championship first round clash against Justin Pipe.
“I’m over the moon with this,” said 23-year-old Monk. “It is fantastic that a company like this has put its faith in me and I’ll be doing everything I can to repay that support.”
Monk is continuing his climb up the rankings on the professional tour and is looking to cause an upset in his Alexandra Palace opener against world number 11 Pipe.
With his undoubted potential to be a star of the future, U Moove owners Tom Soane and Jody Gough are delighted to be part of what they expect to be a successful journey.
Soane said: “Arron is an immense character with a unique image on the world darts stage. It’s a massive opportunity for U Moove to be part of his inevitable success.”
Gough added: “We can’t wait to cheer Arron on in the World Championships, he has an amazing future ahead of him and we’re proud to be joining his journey.”
Monk faces Pipe on Wednesday evening for a place in the second round of the 2014 World Darts Championship.
