The world’s top two darts stars ever will be on show when Manchester’s BEC Arena hosts its second arrows evening of the year as Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen go head to head for one night only.
Legendary 16-time World Champion Taylor and current world number one and World Champion van Gerwen will compete at the Manchester Darts Masters on December 5.
The sport’s elite duo, meeting in the UK for the only time this year and for the first time since 2017, will lead a line-up of top professional players as darts’ unique party atmosphere rolls back into Manchester in the lead up to Christmas.
Also on show will be three-time World Champion Glen Durrant, quickfire Dutch ace Vincent van der Voort and former pro-turned celebrity Bobby George, who will add his unmistakable brand of razzmatazz to proceedings.
They will be joined by locally based professionals and rising stars Darryl Fitton, David Evans, Bradley Brooks, Callum Loose, Ben Smith, James Beeton, Jim Moston and Harry Gregory
Three-time World Champion Van Gerwen said: “I’m really excited about this event. I believe the one earlier in the year was fantastic.
“I have played in Manchester many times in the Premier League and there is always a great crowd, which creates a brilliant atmosphere.
“It is a very rare opportunity for people to see me go up against Phil Taylor and I am really looking forward to the chance to play him again.”
