KEEGAN BROWN 6 – 4 ROWBY JOHN RODRIGUEZ

Keegan Brown clinched victory in the final of the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship by defeating Austrian opponent Rowby John Rodriguez at London’s O2.

Brown fought back 2-0 and 3-1 behind to claim a 6-4 victory in the final, which included a 121 finish from the 21-year-old talent.

“I’m absolutely thrilled,” said Brown, who recently made his first Pro Tour final.

“All my hard work has paid off and I hope this is the start of a great career.

“I want to thank my sponsors and those who have supported me. I was nervous to play in front of such a big crowd in a fantastic arena but I am so happy now.”

Rodriguez took out 50 on double 16 to win the first leg after Brown had missed four darts at doubles.

The Austrian then doubled his lead with a neat 97 finish but Brown responded with a brilliant 121 checkout on the bull to hold his throw.

Rodriguez restored a two leg lead by finishing 64 before Brown reduced the deficit by nailing double 16.

The Isle of Wight star then pinned double one to restore parity before cleaning up 48 to take the lead for the first time.

He followed that up with a clinical 98 checkout before Rodriguez replied with 71 a finish.

But Brown saw out the win, taking out 45 on double 16 to be crowned World Youth Champion.
