LUKE HUMPHRIES produced an impressive display to defeat Stephen Bunting 3-1 in the second round of the 2018/19 William Hill World Darts Championship.

A winner of eight Development Tour titles, Humphries struck four 180s in a strong opening set which he rounded off with a 142 checkout in the deciding leg.

Humphries struck another two maximums as he doubled his lead, before Bunting battled back to take the third set and halve the deficit.

However, it was to be Humphries’ day as the 23-year-old fought back from 2-1 down in the fourth set to wrap up the biggest win of his career and book his place in round three.
