Some of the World’s top darts stars are set to compete at the famous Lakeside Country Club, renowned as the home of darts, in an ultimate ‘Champion of Champions’ event.

This unique evening of sporting entertainment, which will take place in the Canal Suite on Saturday 10 May, will see reigning PDC World Champion and world number one Michael van Gerwen headline a star-studded field of major championship winners.

Lakeside favourite and three-time BDO World Champion Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams is also in action, alongside James Wade, winner of seven major PDC titles.

Also on show are Australian ace Simon Whitlock, the former European Champion, and former under-21 World Champion Arron Monk.

Darts legend Bobby George will be appearing too and the ‘King of Bling’ is excited about the event.

“I’m really looking forward to being a part of this,” said George, who now works as the BBC’s leading pundit.

“The top players involved have all won big tournaments and ‘Champion of Champions’ is exactly what it will be.

“They’ll all be going for that title but we’ll have a bit of fun along the way too. I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.”

Aldershot’s Mark Wheeler, Darren Oakley and England Youth player Nathan ‘Quality’ Street will also be in action on the night.
