Grand Slam of Darts Draw: Dutch Duo Drawn in Same Group

Dutch pair Michael van Gerwen and Vincent van der Voort will meet in the Group Stage of the 2013 Grand Slam of Darts, where another Dutchman, Raymond van Barneveld, is bidding to defend his title.

Good friends van Gerwen and van der Voort are both in Group D following Monday’s draw after the latter sealed one of the four wildcard qualifier places for the Wolverhampton tournament. (more…)

van der Voort Completes Grand Slam Field

Vincent van der Voort earned the right to play in next week’s Grand Slam of Darts after winning through Monday’s wildcard qualifier in Wigan.

The rapid Dutchman was one of four men to take up a place at the Wolverhampton tournament as he, Justin Pipe, Peter Wright and Stuart Kellett fought their way through a field of over 180 hopefuls competing for a spot in the televised event. (more…)
