Robert Thornton and James Wade progressed to the last eight of the Grand Slam of Darts with victories in the second round in Wolverhampton.
Thornton defeated Mervyn King on Wednesday, while James Wade came out on top against Paul Nicholson on Thursday after both of the victors had won all three of their group games.
They will be looking to make it five wins this week when the quarter-finals get underway with ‘The Thorn’ facing Tony O’Shea on Friday evening before ‘The Machine’ takes on Phil Taylor on Saturday.

Michael van Gerwen was denied a last eight spot after losing out to Adrian Lewis in a thrilling game, while Simon Whitlock was eliminated in a last leg decider against Ted Hankey and Mark Webster bowed out at the hands of Scott Waites.
