ANDY JENKINS claimed his first PDC Challenge Tour title and landed a nine-dart finish on a sensational weekend for the veteran star.

Former World Championship semi-finalist Jenkins produced a perfect leg on Saturday before going on to clinch his first PDC title in 16 years on Sunday.

Jenkins defeated Russian number one Boris Koltsov 5-4 to win the Challenge Tour Event 12 – hitting scores of 174 and 180 in the deciding leg.

The £2,000 first prize has catapulted the Hampshire ace up to third on the Order of Merit, with the top two at the end of the season set to earn ProTour cards.
