SEVEN MODUS represented players will be competing in Wigan this week at the PDC’s UK Qualifying School in a bid to win Tour Cards.

Former World Championship semi-finalist Andy Jenkins (pictured) will attempt to regain full-time status after a year off the ProTour, while top female stars Fallon Sherrock and Corrine Hammond are also among the 397 entrants.

David Evans, who won a Challenge Tour event in 2018, will also be in action along with Jarred Cole, who reached a ProTour quarter-final last year.

Hampshire-based Chas Barstow and former UK Open participant Lee Evans will also be playing for places on the PDC circuit.

The UK Qualifying School will be held from January 17-20 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.

The last two players on each day will win an automatic Tour Card, with further Tour Cards to be allocated to players from the UK and European Q School Orders of Merit.

The ratio of Tour Card winners from the respective Orders of Merit will be confirmed following the close of entries, based on final entry numbers.

MODUS’ Mike Van Duivenbode earned his Tour Card recently by winning one of the European Qualifying School events.
